Chalet and Studio Apartment

La Petite Fleur d’Ecosse

The Chalet

Chalet Living Area

Eileen and I bought the chalet in October 2006, and have given it a number of touches to give it a warm and welcoming, homely feel. The accommodation comprises a main living area with an adjoining fully equipped kitchen (e.g., dishwasher, four hob ceramic cooker, oven, microwave, etc). There’s full electric central heating, and also a newly installed wood burner with an ample supply of logs. There is a television, programmed for UK channels and a DVD player. There’s also a shower and WC on this level.

The View From The Chalet Living Room

Upstairs there’s the main bathroom with bath and shower, and both a double bedroom and a twin bedded room. The living room also has a double sofa bed so while the main chalet sleeps four in principle, the sofa bed provides for a further two people (six in total).

Both levels of the chalet have balconies from which the views over the lake, both during the day and in the evening, are unforgettable. Beneath the chalet is a ski/boot store and utility room with washer and tumble dryer.

The Studio Apartment

On the ground floor, with the same outstanding panoramic views over Lake Leman, we have created a superb, modern, self-contained studio apartment. This comprises a tastefully furnished main living area; fully fitted wardrobes, a well equipped kitchen with oven, hob, fridge, etc; and an en-suite shower room/WC. There is a large and extremely comfortable (according to our guests(!)) double bed settee providing accommodation for two people. This cosy apartment is heated by modern electric radiators and also by an attractive “log burner” effect electric fire.

Studio Interior

Whilst there are many restaurants and bars in the village (including the traditional Outa – a very short stone’s throw away) for those who prefer a “night in” by the fire, there is a modern flat screen TV programmed for UK channels and also a DVD, CD and video player – bring you own favourites or borrow ours whilst you are with us.

The Studio Kitchen Area

As with the chalet, there is access to the ski and boot store, and to the utility room with the washer and tumble dryer.

For those choosing to stay in our studio, breakfast and/or a packed lunch can be provided at an additional cost.
